Grilled Triple Tail with Avocado Tartar Sauce
It dawned on me that I had not posted grilled fish recipes for a good while, so here is another. I consider triple tail one of the best. All I have to do is grill another one and provide a new sauce to accompany it for a new post.
2 triple tail fillets
Olive oil for brushing
Creole Seasoned Salt to taste
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
Prepare the tartar sauce (recipe follows) and refrigerate it for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Prepare the grill for medium high heat. Brush the fillets with oil and season to taste. Grill the fillets directly over the fire for 4 minutes per side.
Avocado Tattar Sauce
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons minced pickled jalapenos
1 green onion, white and green, thinly sliced
1 avocado, diced
Juice of 1/4 lime.
Combine all ingredients and process in a food processor until smooth.
